Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Beyond the GATE at beyondthegate.app and app.beyondthegate.app. By signing up you agree to them.

The service

Beyond the GATE is a personal development app: a book in module form, tracking tools, a 30-day programme, and journaling. We offer a free tier and a Premium tier at £3.99/month.

Your account

You create an account with your email. You're responsible for keeping your magic-link emails secure. If your email account is compromised, someone could sign in as you - let us know immediately and we'll invalidate sessions.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe at £3.99/month. They auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time through Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation is immediate; you keep Premium until the current billing period ends. We don't issue pro-rated refunds for partial periods.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to reverse engineer the app, scrape data, or use it to harass, spam or harm others. Don't share your account or automate the signup flow. Fair use.

Intellectual property

"Beyond the GATE" is a registered trademark of Creative Sauce Ltd. The book content is copyright Crispin, 2026. The app code is copyright Creative Sauce Ltd. You keep copyright on the words you write in your journal, notes and reflections.

Not medical advice

Beyond the GATE is a personal development product, not a medical or therapeutic service. Nothing in the book or app is medical, psychiatric or professional therapeutic advice. Changes to the service

We're building this actively. Features change, improve, sometimes get retired. If we retire anything you're actively using, we'll tell you in advance via email.

Termination

You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may terminate an account if these terms are materially breached, with notice where reasonable.

Liability

We provide the service "as is" and exclude liability for indirect losses and for matters outside our control, to the maximum extent permitted by English law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled in the English courts.
